My movie collection

I started collecting movies in physical formats in 2023, for much the same reasons that I started collecting music - I'm sick of streaming, and I miss holding my favourite things in my hands.

If anything I find the streaming issue much more invasive with movies. They're frequently edited retrospectively, especially older movies, and I don't agree with this as it's history and the original cuts will end up lost to time like some kind of mandela effect. Movies are also becoming more and more spread out across various streaming platforms making the entire process incredibly expensive, and a lot of movies aren't even available on any streaming services and that disturbs me the most. Why are we allowing corporations to dictate which films are worth bothering with?

My collection so far is small, and a little random in places as I do thrift where I can. I keep this list for my own reference so I know what I already own when I'm out and about, but you're more than welcome to have a browse (and I'm always down for a recommendation if there's anything you think I'd like based on what you see here) You can also follow my movie watching habits in real time on Letterboxd if you're inclined.
